Peacocks in Oriental art have auspicious symbolism. They are symbols of wisdom and said to have the power to steer the faithful away from evil. Therefore it's common to see people using peakon art as interior deco in Asia.
DONG FANG MING releaseed "The Peakon's Tail Series" in a set 5 bottles, all single cask bottling of Scotch single malt, featuring five bueautiful peakon artworks as labels. This bottle of Braeval 1994 featuring the right side partial of a Japanese folding screen painting (byōbu-e) "Peacocks and Cherry Tree" by Imazu Tatsuyuki during Taishō period (1912–26).
Bottled in 2019、Matured in Bourbon Barrel.
Tasting Note
Nose: You went to the dairy area in the supermarket. There's milk. butter, sour cream on the shelf. Moreover, they have panettone and brioche in the shelf in the opposide side. Together with fresh barley and walnuts.
Mouth: Medium body. You turn into the beverage area. The staff is making mixed juicy with lemon juice, apples and pears. He also add some Sauvignon and honey; then a few malt on top as deco.
Finish: Medium. After shopping in the supermarket, you finally bought some sweet fruity, malt and spices home.
