The Peakon's Tail Series - Cherry-Apple And Peacocks On Rock (I)
Peacocks in Oriental art have auspicious symbolism. They are symbols of wisdom and said to have the power to steer the faithful away from evil. Therefore it's common to see people using peakon art as interior deco in Asia.
DONG FANG MING releaseed "The Peakon's Tail Series" in a set 5 bottles, all single cask bottling of Scotch single malt, featuring five bueautiful peakon artworks as labels. This bottle of Ledaig 2005 featuring the upper part of the "Cherry-Apple And Peacocks On Rock" by Kishi Gantai (1782-1865).
Bottled in 2018、Matured in Hogshead.
Tasting Note
Nose: At an Oriental Fiesta, the sea breeze blow towards the bonfire. A bit itchy and ashy. You can smell the lime zest and mineral.
Mouth: Medium body. The shaman add some herb into the bonfire, including Chinese medicine, ginseng, licorice, salt and orange peel. Ashy again.
Finish: After the rite, you can found citrusy, zesty and mineral in the air.
