Out of Stock / 無庫存 A comparatively modern distillery. Established in 1957, Glen Keith’s output was mostly reserved for the Chivas Brothers blends. Only a few single malt was released and bottled. In 1970, the distillery became Scotland’s first to gas-power its stills. More new technology were installed in the distill process in 1980s. The distillery was closed in 2000 and was not until recently, in 2013, it reopened again.
On the label, you will see one of the famous ukiyoe series “One Hundred Aspects of the Moon” by Japanese artist Tsukioka Yoshitoshi. This painting is called “How Hopeless it is/ It Would be Better for me to Sink Beneath the Waves/ Perhaps Then I Could See My Man from Moon Capital – Ariko”. It a love story between a 17 year-old lady Ariko and a poet. To the lost love, sweet and graceful.
