Ryōgoku is a district in Sumida, Tokyo. As the Ryogoku bridge was developed in the region, during the Edo period this part of Tokyo became as significant as Ueno and Asakusa. At dusk, a man poling a ferry boat full of passengers across the Sumida River, with view of the Ryōgoku Bridge and Mount Fuji in the distance.
